This has a chipset that is compatible with OPNSense firewall. I use these to use mini PCs as basic firewalls for residential clients.

I’ve had a couple of these from other manufacturers. This one is fast and quite cost competitive. I’m sticking with this one from here on out. Doesn’t get any better.

Really excited that I can do a direct Ethernet connection to my little laptop whenever I want to.

Plugged into my think pad Yoga P40 usb 3.0 (my rig does not have micro ethernet port) I only have 30mb high speed internet, but wanted solid connection for my webinars. FYI. it was OE Lenovo. I did a speed test with wireless and cabled in. No difference in speed.
