Great price
I recently bought the Black and Decker Classic Old School Iron, and it’s been a pleasant surprise. I appreciate its straightforward design and simplicity—it feels like a no-nonsense tool that gets the job done. The steam output is consistent, which makes ironing out wrinkles quick and easy. I also find the weight of the iron quite manageable, giving me good control while working on different fabrics. The cord is long enough, so I can move around without feeling restricted. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for an iron that doesn’t complicate things and delivers good results.

A Modern Marvel for the Well-Dressed Household!
Ladies and gentlemen, hold the presses! After weeks of rigorous investigation—during which collars were conquered, trousers rendered razor-sharp, and linens restored to respectable society—I am prepared to declare that the BLACK+DECKER Classic Steam Iron is nothing short of the bee's knees. This sturdy contraption glides across cloth with the confidence of a Pullman locomotive on polished rails. Its aluminum soleplate, bright as a freshly minted silver dollar, sweeps wrinkles into oblivion with scarcely a protest. Steam billows forth with the vigor of Old Faithful, leaving shirts so crisp they might stand at attention on their own. Your humble reporter subjected the device to the harshest trials known to modern journalism: Sunday shirts neglected for a fortnight, tablecloths folded since Christmas, and a pair of trousers that had clearly seen better administrations. Not one emerged defeated. Every crease surrendered unconditionally. The handle fits the hand like a firm handshake from an honest banker, and the weight inspires confidence rather than fatigue. It neither sputters nor complains, but simply goes about its business with the quiet determination of a seasoned pressman racing to meet the evening edition. Mark my words: if every household possessed one of these marvelous machines, there would be fewer rumpled collars, more confident citizens, and perhaps world peace would be only a matter of proper pressing. Verdict: Five stars. Buy one before your neighbor does, lest they become the sharpest-dressed family on the block while you remain looking like yesterday's extra edition.

Highly recommend
Beautiful retro aluminum look. Presses out wrinkles easily without extra effort. The 7-temperature dial is very user friendly. Switches seamlessly between steam and dry ironing. Features an automatic shut-off for peace of mind. Can occasionally drag on delicate synthetic fabrics. The reservoir can be slightly difficult to read. The polished aluminum design looks excellent on the ironing board. It feels incredibly sturdy and well-built, reminiscent of vintage irons that were built to last for decades. Performance and Wrinkle RemovalBecause this iron has some weight to it, you do not have to press down hard to get deep creases out of cotton or linen. The fabric selector dial offers 7 distinct temperature settings, making it easy to shift from denim down to delicate silks.Steam vs. Dry IroningThe steam output is consistent and powerful enough for everyday garments. Shifting to completely dry ironing is quick, which is a massive plus for crafting, sewing, or pressing specific fabrics that water might ruin. Soleplate GlideThe aluminum soleplate heats up rapidly and evenly. While it glides beautifully over natural fibers like cotton, wool, and linen, you do need to be careful with synthetic materials to avoid any pulling or sticking. This is my 3rd purchase for this iron over the years and I love it.

Love my iron
Absolutely love the weight of this product. This is the perfect iron to go with the jeans press that I bought. The only problem that I truly have with it is that the water reservoir empties so quickly. I use the steam on everything when I am ironing. It is amazing for the Rayon and Polyester shirts for men .

Old School iron schools all other irons!
This iron is “old Skool” , solid , the real deal with simple , numbered settings. With A.I., take a photo of the tag of the garment to be ironed, enter that photo in A.I. or speak/type those same descriptions, share the exact type of iron this is, and it will tell you the numbered setting to use. It’s outstanding ! Puts off loud steam; not faint like these crappy newer ones do.

A Sewist's Ironing Dream on a Budget!
This is the little iron that could! I was in the market for a new iron after my Rowenta finally bit the dust. As a sewist, I iron seams and finished garments constantly, so I need an iron that offers precise control over both temperature and steam—but I wasn’t willing to shell out nearly $200 for one. This classic Black & Decker iron does everything I need for under $40, and I absolutely adore it. I actually look forward to using it every time I sew! It heats up quickly and features an automatic shut-off if left unattended (a must for peace of mind), and it glides through fabrics with ease. It switches temperatures quickly and the steam shut-off button works instantly—especially helpful when working with fusible interfacing or adhesives where you don’t want steam. While this iron isn’t huge (my previous iron was larger), I wouldn’t call it small either—it’s definitely not travel-sized. It’s the perfect size for everyday ironing or serious sewing projects. One of my favorite things about it is the look. The retro, mid-century design is so aesthetically pleasing—it feels like you're joining generations of home sewists who’ve relied on this classic iron. In fact, I’m pretty sure I used a circa 1979 version of this same model growing up; my dad’s old college iron ended up in our camping supplies and worked perfectly 30+ years later! One thing to note: This is not a lightweight iron. While I wouldn’t call it heavy, those specifically looking for something lightweight may want to look elsewhere. Personally, I love the weight. It presses seams effortlessly with minimal pressure—exactly what I want in a sewing iron. The first time I used it, I literally said out loud, “Now this is what an iron should be.” That said, if a heavier iron might be difficult for you to maneuver (for example, if you’ve lost upper body strength or simply prefer something more compact), this may not be the best fit. My grandmothers, for instance, would probably find it cumbersome. But for me? It’s perfect.

The Heavy Iron I Was Looking For
This is honestly the best iron I've owned in a long time. One of the things I love most is the weight. I specifically wanted a heavier iron because it helps smooth out wrinkles much better, and this one does exactly that. It glides nicely over fabrics and leaves clothes looking crisp and well-pressed with less effort. The steam function works great, it heats up quickly, and it feels durable and well-made. I've used it on everything from everyday clothes to more delicate items, and the results have been excellent every time. If you're looking for a traditional, sturdy iron with enough weight to get professional-looking results at home, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The cord will eventually be destroyed by regular use.
This is a nice iron, on the smaller side, kind of heavy, and with an aluminum soleplate that glides beautifully over fabric. All of those features - - size, weight, and no "nonstick" coating - - were things I wanted. There are two rather glaring design faults. First, there's no gauge or window or what-have-you that allows you to see how much water is left in the iron. Second, the cord comes out close to the bottom of the iron, so it gets slightly bent and pressured every time the iron sits on its heel. They've put a silicone sleeve on the cord to cut down on wear, but of course it's just a question of time before this makes the iron useless. Good value, lots of heat very quickly, easy to use. We'll see how long it lasts.

Simple, solid, a no nonsense iron
I’m extremely happy with the Black+Decker Classic Iron. After going through three different irons in the past two years, I was honestly pretty frustrated. none of them seemed to get hot enough to do the job properly. This one is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a no-nonsense, classic iron that just works. It gets properly hot, which makes a huge difference, creases come out quickly and the finish is crisp and clean. Another thing I really appreciate is the weight. It’s heavier than most irons I’ve used, so I don’t need to apply extra pressure while ironing. When I add water, the extra weight actually makes it even more effective. The steam off button is also a great feature and gives good control depending on what I’m ironing. Overall, this iron does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and does it really well. Highly recommend it if you want something reliable and effective.

The seller was gracious to issue refund- Product good 110V
The product was used by me in the USA and is extremely good. However, it works on 110V and not India voltage compatible. For that reason, I had to return the product and the seller was gracious enough to issue refund.

excelente producto
