MAX CLR THIXO is a thickened version of the MAX CLR resin system that provides reduce sagging or flow when applied on a vertical surface. The mixture is 'gel-like' in consistency thus leaving a thicker applied coating and fewer resin run-offs and drips. MAX CLR THIXO creates a sanitizable coating that demonstrates no leaching of its constituents during direct food contact. MAX CLR THIXO is used to seal porous substrates (such as wood) and prevents the absorption of foodstuffs, liquid beverages, or compounds that can cause bacterial or microbial growth to occur. MAX CLR THIXO bonds to stainless steel, wood, ceramics, glass, pottery, and most plastics substrates. It is also used as a strong adhesive for wood metals, ceramics. Upon cure, MAX CLR THIXO is dishwasher-safe. PACKAGING MAX CLR THIXO is packed in our new easy-to-use RupturePak. Each RupturePak kit yields one fluid ounce of mixed resin suitable for small coating projects, such as tumbler coating and embellishment. The resin and curing agent are premeasured and packaged in a convenient kit that is easy to use. Break the frangible seal to combine the resin and curing agent and mixed thoroughly in the bag (see mixing instructions). Each pack is enough to cover one-32 ounce tumbler per coating layer; 2 packs per tumbler is typical usage. Apply the mixed MAX CLR THIXO onto the prepared surface using a foam brush, embellish it with desired colors, and allow it to cure. Mix another batch, apply as the protective topcoat. Allow to fully cure, rinse with warm water, and MAX CLR coating is ready for use.
