The one I had was thicker than the one pictured. I used this while taking care of my mother. The handles are very helpful! This made it much easier to lift her off the floor, and to transfer her from bed to wheelchair to vehicle to bathroom. It provided an added measure of safety for her showers as well. I don't know how people manage without one of these belts. All of my mother's professional caregivers thought very highly of it.

Purchased this for my mom after she had a stroke leaving her paralyzed on her right side. She no longer could walk, but this allow her to be a little more steady while moving from her bed to her wheelchair to the restroom, and to the shower chair. Sadly though we only got use out of it for a few months before she passed. Still recommend if you work with patients in physical therapy or for the elderly that can't move as well as they used to and need assistance when a walker can't be used in smaller walk areas.

I absolutely love this gait belt. It has been a lifesaver in helping get my father up and down out of bed and out of his recliner. I love the different grab handles on it if I had one negative issue with the belt sometimes you have to readjust it because it loosens up, but I always check it and I hold onto the excess belt to keep it from possibly sliding. it’s very heavy duty and easy to put on.

This piece of equipment was so helpful trying to make a patient feel secure.
