The DALI OBERON VOKAL delivers a precise, clear and detailed sound performance for both your movie as well concert sound track. It is designed to be the perfect match with any of the speakers in the OBERON series for a complete surround system. It houses an 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter and 2 x 5.25" SMC based wood fibre woofers - combining technologies which make it possible to create a speaker that will render audio like a much larger model. The placement of the front-facing bass port on the front baffle supports different placement options in your TV furniture. DALI have united the best elements from their current speakers and brought them together in the OBERON VOKAL to deliver on audio quality, looks and versatility. The 2 x 5.25" SMC based woofers used in the OBERON VOKAL are dedicated to reproduce the delicate midrange and bass frequency area. The OBERON woofers have been optimised with a new wood fibre structured cone, which is constructed from a blend of fine grain paper pulp reinforced with wood fibres. This creates a stiff, light-weight and well-behaving structure - like every other driver made by DALI. Mechanical distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents is greatly reduced due to the use of Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) in the OBERON VOKAL woofer. This improvement in the magnet motor system results in a lowering of the third order distortion. This allows the OBERON VOKAL to present longer listening pleasure with a relaxed midrange and a surprising a of detailing for the class. The oversized 29 mm membrane is constructed based on an ultra-light wave weave fabric and is additionally optimised for a larger bandwidth in its lower frequency area. This ensures the optimal handover from the midrange woofer to the tweeter, creating a well-balanced, unforced and very coherent upper midrange. Compared to most soft dome tweeters in the market, the DALI dome material is less than half the weight (0.060 mg/mm2).
