Fun way to do sign with our kiddos. Many of the lessons are meant to take place over days but my kids tended to want to work more quickly through them and get to the next experiment.

I got this book for my 5 year old. She loves science and its a great book. We sit down and work on resolving and putting together things. Its a really big book and very interesting. The only thing could be much better if the book was colored inside as well.

The information inside is fantastic 😍 riggerous and the images are cute and engaging. HOWEVER the entire book is in black and white on the inside. You have to buy it directly from the website for the color version. We'll still use it but next time definitely buying directly from the vendor.

I purchased this workbook for my Pre-K 3/4 year old and my 1st grader to use. They both attend school online currently so I was looking for something to supplement what they were doing in school. The science lessons needed a little something extra. This book includes simple activities to do over the course of a few days to go over a topic and includes questions to ask your students/kiddos to check for understanding. I think it is well done, age appropriate, and easy to incorporate the activities either at home or a school setting.

I think these workbooks are great but more advanced than they need to be. The topics they introduce are great, maybe a little advanced but the written assignments are too hard. For example it often has the children write sentences for answers and thats too difficult for Kindergartners in my opinion. Writing in sentences is something 1st graders learn. My advice is to buy a grade level down. But I do like the topics introduced which has provided a basis for great discussions.

My daughter likes that book, very interested.

I like the daily lessons and how they tie together for the week. I am happy with the content but also supplement with other books. I am using the book for my 4-year-old grandchild who does know how to read. Some color would be nice for young children but isn’t essential.

Kindergardenとありますが、英語圏のレビューにもあるように幼稚園児にはやや難しいです。小学校の低学年〜中学年で、科学を英語で学びたい人が最初に読むのに適切な本です。自力で読む場合、英検4〜5級の英語力があれば十分読めます。(英作文があるのでそこだけ英検3級レベルかもしれません) 物理、生物、環境問題から宇宙に至るまで、一つのテーマを5日間かけて掘り下げ、それを20テーマ20週間でカバーするという構成です。 例えばWeek1は「力(Force)」ですが、Day1で力についての4-5文の文章を読み、まず力と何か、物を動かしたり、シャボン玉を膨らませたりするのが力であることを学びます。Day2、3で実際自分が力で何かを動かすとどうなるか、実験しながら設問に答えていきます。Day4、5ではシャボン玉で実験しながら、弱い力で吹くとどうなるか、強い力だと、など観察して考察させる、という流れで、記述もあります。 この感じで、肉食と草食、食物連鎖、環境問題、太陽と地球など様々な20テーマについて学びつつ、科学英語や、文章読解、英作文なども練習できるという一石二鳥な教材です。 まだ英語力が不十分な場合は親が文章を読んだり、作文を手伝ってあげながら英語力をつける目的でも使えるでしょう。 科学的な内容としては、小学校低〜中学年だと知らないことが多く楽しめると思いますが、科学英語を目的とするなら中学生でも十分役に立つ内容だと思います。
