Bought for my 89 year old mom. It certainly works, sometimes she accidentally pressed the bottom and a 911 operator immediately comes through. The cord is a little thin and th device itself is about the size of a small matchbox. I thought the cord would fee uncomfortable but Mom says it’s fine. This is a great purchase - it works, no fees and since mom doesn’t see well, it’s easy to press one button for help if she needs it.

I gave some part of the review good but I did some research and find that these units run at 3G level and will not be active for much longer. Most cell providers have already shut down 3G already. Verizon is the only one who is holding out a bit longer. Verizon will kill 3G December 31st, 2022. That is the longest your 80.00 medical alert SmartGo 911 will operate. Is it worth it? Not really! Received this device today. It was important to me to have something with geo-location in case of accident. I set it up and made a test call to 911 from my home. Operator answered very quickly and I explained I was testing my device. Asked if she could determine my location and she gave an address for a business about .4 miles from my house. I laughed and told her my actual address so we agreed that the location feature is not that precise. Will probably keep this in my car as I could probably be located on the highway. If I have to call 911 from home, hope I'll be able to use my home phone as I know they can locate me that way. Can be useful device, just be aware of it's limitations.

Easy to use. Easy to set up. Tested it and it dialed 911. Talked to 911 operator and told him what I was doing. He needed my name phone number and address. He said don't be surprised if policeman comes to make sure you are ok. Policeman said should have let them know, you can get a ticket for that. If you test yours call the main number and let them know. By the way he was nice and didn't give me a ticket. I also showed him the device. Lol

I got this for my elderly father. It gives me peace of mind that he can connect directly with a 911 operator. No middle man and no monthly fees as other devices have. Some of those monthly fees are expensive such as $69.00. A month!

Three stars is "benefit of the doubt". It seems to be well made and the speaker is okay. But like several others have already reported, mine has not connected with 911 after many varied attempts. It is possible that the problem is with the 911 service in my area. Or it could be a QC issue with the product.

This device was purchased for a 93 year old who lives at home and needs Emergency Assistance that is dependable. It works well and puts her directly in touch with 911 operators in her area. It works wherever there is cellular communication and lets her talk directly with Emergency personnel. I recommend this device for anyone living alone that may not be able to reach a phone in an emergency. We are very please , at this time.
