These are lighter weight than Carhartt but that's a plus in hot weather. And they cost about 1/2 as much.

I have ordered Gildan T-Shirts a number of times. This was a reorder of what was supposed to be the same heavy cotton shirts, what Gildan is known for, I had ordered about a year ago. The new shirts are noticeably lighter weight cloth and cheaper feeling overall. The same thing happened with a reorder of Gildan's lighter weight shirts that arrived even lighter/thinner. Overall a noticeable decrease in quality over the past year. The fit/cut is still excellent.
