PLANTERS Mixed Nuts, Plant Based Protein, 56 Oz (1 Ct)

We have purchased nuts from the big box stores ever since they stopped selling Planters brand. Planters has always been the premium brand and nothing else compares. I decided to order from Amazon and was not disappointed. The nuts were fresh and each nut tasted like they should. I definitely will be purchasing again. Thank you, Amazon!

I love nuts and I eat a lot of them. Mixed nuts with peanuts are my favorite kind. These nuts from Planters are one of my favorites. They taste great and I love that's it's in a big can. They have just the right amount of salt and the quality of each type of nut is great. The size and appearance of the nuts are always perfect and they are always fresh tasting. The best part is the value. These mixed nuts have the best per ounce price that I can find.

I love Planter's Mixed Nuts! They are the best. Grew up eating them and still eat them to this day. They are always fresh and have great flavor. Also, a very good price. I know they are going to be good, that is why I buy them. Very happy and will continue to purchase Planter's nut. You can count on Planter's.

My kid tried telling me that there is something out there about not eating nuts in November, some internet trend the kids are doing I guess, but I'm a grown man, and these were on sale in November, So I bought them anyways. I subtracted one star due to the slightly false advertising on Planters part with their claim on the can that these mixed nuts contain less that 50% peanuts. Now I've only received and opened my can today, and while I have eaten more of these nuts today than I probably should have, I haven't gotten through 1/8th of the can, so maybe the bigger nuts have settled at the bottom and I just don't know, but by my observation so far, I would estimate, at least at the top of the can, that these contain about 60-65% peanuts, which is neither a Pea or a NUT, as I seem to get way more peanuts in every handful than anything else combined. That being said, I like Peanuts just fine and these are some tasty nuts indeed. Maybe a bit too salty for some people's taste, and probably way saltier than my doctor would want me eating, but I've been enjoying them so far. What has surprised and delighted me the most is the Cashews. I was expecting to open the can to find maybe one or two cashew in the can, and Planters has been stingy with them in the past, but no it is not the cashews that is lacking in this can, but surprisingly the pecans that are the rare ones. I like pecans just fine, but the cashews, that's the money nut in my book, so this was a win for me. Plenty of Almonds and Hazel nuts too, so if those are your favorite, you'll be happy, the only ones that may be upset are the pecan fans, as those are really lacking in this can. As far as freshness goes, I'm not sure how to tell if nuts are fresh, but they taste just fine and fresh to me, there's no stale or dried out taste, that's all I know. Ha, No Nut November, I don't think so!

Perfect for snacks

There are 55,004 ratings, and many, many reviews already. I do not know that there is any value in leaving yet another review. It seems pointless, given that there's so many already. I'm doing it anyways, just in case. I like these nuts, although peanuts aren't technically nuts, they're legumes, so a bit of false advertising there. i don't know if this is common knowledge. I've known peanuts are legumes since I was a young child. I'll have to ask my neighbors and see if the know peanuts aren't actually nuts. Whether nuts or legumes, i like this mix. It's very fresh and crunchy and deeply satisfying. It isn't overly salty, although frankly I could do with a bit less salt than what they put on these mixed "nuts." I really like the cartoon character with the top hat and monocle, signifying that peanuts aren't garbage, low-end cheap food, Peanuts are HIGH CLASS. You can tell just by looking at the cartoon peanut's attire. Good job with the marketing mascot, Planters. I sure wish they had a larger tin available, though. Maybe one double the size of this one would be good.

The quality of the nuts is good and it's not over salted, however this seems to be 3/4 peanuts, the almonds are remarkably small and I felt like I'd want a prize every time I found a Brazil nut. While the cost per ounce is very good, there is a reason. It's basically just peanuts with a few other notes thrown in.
