Is there a way to keep the images from fading?

YES! On Amazon, look up PremierArt Print Shield Spray. It's a UV and water resistant lacquer fixative spray. Should easily both protect the finished image and prevent fading. Just make sure the print is fully dried before spraying, and do two coats, 15 minutes apart.

How many sheets come in the kit and what size is each sheet? I want to get this for a class, but I am not sure if I need to buy more than one kit.

My kit had 20-8X11 sheets which I cut into four and then I had plenty for my enitire class. Since there is only one acrilyc cover needed to hold the paper in place, you may need to have four childdren do the process at at time OR use overhead transparencies sheets to cover the paper so more children can do the process at the same time. My kids loved their prints which turned out beautifully.

I would like to do this with 6 kids at once. If it only comes with one acrylic sheet is this possible?

You are correct that there is only one acrylic sheet included with each kit. The kids will either have to take turns using it, or you can buy multiple kits.

Do the images fade over time?

The images actually should NOT fade over time as long as you use the kit properly and keep the image in water for 1 minute after exposure to rinse the light reactive chemicals. I have prints I made 10 years ago that look just as good as the day I made them and I love them.
