Can this be put directly on a wound?

My family has used this for wound healing for generations. We make a paste out of fresh, CLEANED, leaves and place in a very well cleaned wound, replace this poultice daily with fresh comfrey paste. Clean the wound well daily. Have never had an infection result. Have healed large wounds with minimal scarring.

Is this really comfrey? it says stevia leaf at top and comfrey leaf on a white sticker on bottom.

mine frpm Starwest botanicsls says "100 Organic comfrey" nothing about stevia - maybe it's not the same one.

Is this dried comfrey leaf? Or fresh?
