New York Times bestselling author and artist James Dean brings Pete the Cat fans some fun in the sun! Pete the Cat is one groovy cat at finding shells and building sand castles at the beach. But when it gets too hot, there’s only one way to cool off—jump into the ocean! Except Pete might be a scaredy-cat when it comes to the water. Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach is a My First I Can Read book, which means it’s perfect for shared reading with a child. Review: Wonderful book series that teaches valuable lessons in an easy fun way to understand - Love the series. Our grandson learns valuable lessons such as sharing and caring from Pete! Review: Loved by my little one - A nice, fun story for kids. Just enough for a bedtime story for a preschooler.

In the words of a #EnchantedbookTroll
Pete and his brother Bob went to the beach, and Pete didn’t want to go in the water. Bob got him to get on the surf board. The first time Pete went on the surfboard he was scared, but he tried again. When he tried again, he was able to ride the big wave! I think this story try’s to teach kids not to give up, and to always be with a parent or a bigger sibling.
