I waited on this review to see if I experienced anything I read in the negative reviews. So far the quality of the knife seems unmatched. I have used it over 50 times and the edge is still as sharp as day one. It is comfortable to hold, but it is a heavy knife, which helps it glide through raw and cooked meats. It has been used on Ribeye roast and tenderloin roast and just cuts through like butter. Great value for the quality and durability. It also looks amazing on display.

It’s like my Thompson Machine Gun with the 50 round cylindrical magazine. Even if it doesn’t work — everyone wants to own it. This works like a charm.

This thing is enormous; calling it a knife is not sufficient. We had to send it back because there is a child in our home and there was no way to keep it safely stored in the kitchen. It's a bone-breaker for sure. Beautiful piece, lovely packaging, but we couldn't risk it.

I bought this for butchering uses. It arrived beautifully boxed, and the materials feel quality and sturdy. I was able to shave my arm hair with it out of the box, and it is well weighted for heavy chopping. I bought it for use on my chickens when butcher time comes and having tested it on a carcass am confident in its ability to aid in the process. It’s a beautiful piece of fantasy and function, but many may find it’s size and weight intimidating and cumbersome. Pros: Well weighted Sharp Heavy duty safety case Beautiful stand Functional and beautiful Cons: May be to heavy for some May be to large for some I was able to get it on sale but would still consider it at retail price having seen and felt it.

Was pleasantly surprised by quality and performance of this particular knife. It was exactly like advertised. Did have some bad experience prior to this one. It does chopping perfectly with ease through meat and bones. My friends were impressed and jealous:)
