It works great. I connected two Advidia cameras and an off brand HKvision compatible camera. I installed my 5tb had, and installed the phone app. It plays back footage well. The setup takes some navigation, but isn't too difficult. For the price, it is great. I will see if I need to install a fan when the weather starts heating up. Update: This unit is not very strong. It needs to be restarted regularly. You can from the app, as long as the system isn't too backed up. I believe it has to do with the quality of the cameras. I don't think turning the cameras down any further would help this. It does work, easy setup, app is functional. If you have the extra money, get a better nvr. I don't have any recommendations 😕. This is a nice little NVR. I added a 3tb WD hard drive. I have three 1080p cameras and a 4k camera linked to it using ONVIF. One of those is a finicky doorbell camera that temporarily bricks itself when other ONVIF NVR apps try to access it. Thankfully this NVR can login to that stream without issues. This NVR records reliably and the motion detection works. It also hasn't seemed to slow down at all as I've added cameras and the playback interface is fast as well. It outputs to a 22" computer monitor over HDMI. Nothing special to say... It is more than enough to watch my home.

It records and connects but the interface is difficult and the mouse is mostly unresponsive. The remote can be used but it is clunky. Will read onvif cameras but not connect the duhua. It will connect to hikvision protocol cameras. Picture quality is ok, time stamp drifts by almost an hour per month. If you need something to get you by then buy it but if you can afford a little more - buy something else.

I bought two of these systems and started having trouble right out the gate. Once you add more than 2 or 3 cameras, the system scrambles the images in the display. It appeared that the processor was struggling to keep up with the video feed. While researching to figure out what was going on, I discovered NUMEROUS articles detailing the backdoor access vulnerability in the embedded software used in the NVR system. Just Google the "XMEye" app vulnerabilities and you will see exactly what I am talking about here. If you value your privacy, do not use these NVR systems as part of your security camera system. Shame on these vendors who are distributing products like this with known vulnerabilities. Then again, with the abundance of compromised IT products on the market, it is pretty apparent that they are doing this on purpose, with some shady intent.

The NVR is reliable and ease of use is okay once you get past some of the menu UI issues. It even has an app (XMEye Pro) which is not the greatest, but it gets the job done and also allows for viewing of recording from the app. I dropped one star because I'm unable to get alerts directly to the app, even though there is an option for that, but doesn't seem to be working. I bought the 16 channel and it connects to all my cameras and am able to record (currently 4 streams in 2-5MP). I wasn't sure about it at first, but after a few months it's still going strong. I upgraded from a Foscam NVR, which was less than stellar or reliable. I plan to upgrade to a NAS based NVR like Synology or Qnap anyway, but this is doing a good job in the meantime.

Very happy. Very easy to setup. Installed a hard dive with 2 wires. Up and running. Did a scan of my network found the ip cameras on the network. Make sure all your cameras are in the same ip network. No issues. Car detect. Face detect. Recording schedules. Record on alarm. Great deal for the price. Very happy

I've been doing Cameras for 15 Years now and I use these just to give customers visuals on a TV to see their cameras. I don't even put a Hard Drive in it because we Record on our MAIN NVR. A little weird to setup but hey its cheap. I love how you can make it a 4ch or 8ch NVR so it NEVER goes out of the 4 split view I place it on. For my application its amazing!

Wasn't able to detect my perfectly fine toshiba HDD. Could detect a different toshiba HDD... No idea why this is. I'd recommend not bothering with this NVR

No detecta las camaras ip onvif mas vendidas de amazon, la tapo c510w!!!. No lo compren, es basura. Una simple placa de alixpress de 17eur detecta todas las ip cam del mercado, y este nvr que cuesta 5 veces mas... No las detecta. No recomiendo su compra, a no ser que el vendedor te asegure que la ipcam que quieres usar la va a detectar.

It looks cheap, it is small and looks empty - the whole circuit board is bit bigger than a business card :-) but it is working great. the menus are not super nice, most of cctv recorders have ugly menus, but the functionality is good. there is software for mac as well (M1/M2 compatible too) - again, not super beautiful but it does the job. Ive fitted the circuit board to my diy box with 10" screen together with ssd which makes me nice cctv box. ...remote control and mouse included as well
