5200 Sealant Really Works!!
This 5200 is the best. I had issues with my 3 seasons room leaking at the outside sill areas. I tried many other silicone sealants. This 5200 did the job. Excellent product. Will buy again. Messy but worth every penny!!!

Absolutely amazing product
Purchased this product to attempt to seal a challenging flashing issue which has three different material in an awkward transition. I removed all the material from the previous two attempts to waterproof the area, leaving a larger than previous opening to work this material into. After cleaning and prepping the surfaces, I began to applying this 3M product. It is thick, but not problematic to dispense - possibly other reviewers were dispensing through a smaller orifice than me - I used the full tube opening without a tip. The product is exceptionally easy to manipulate and smooth out - almost putty like. Unlike other products like silicone and polyurethane, it didn't stick much to my applicator and thus stayed were I wanted it (without sag) and also smoothed out easily. Bottom line is it adhered to all three materials, filled the voids perfectly, looks great, and the leak is no more! I highly, highly recommend this product - it's amazing!

Poke a hole in the end and cut the tip off a little at an angle
Works great Takes forever to dry (defiantly not 3! more like 4-days -1 Star*)!! I got mine with the tip!! No holes, came just fine!! Stuff is great!! Strong with a little flex to it. Think caulk with strength.. For the reviewer talking about the tip not working? ?Poke a hole in the end of the tube! You do have to cut the end off on the nipple you screwed on!! Also there is a pop top lip on the bottom, you have to pull that off as well. Looks like you figured that out ok? But Yes you do have to cut the tip off and ----> poke a hole in the end of the tube as well!! Before screwing the nipple on!! So here is a recap... Poke a hole in the end where the tip screws on and cut the tip off the nozzle a little at an angle and pull the pop top pull lid off the bottom. Done P.S. Could have put my project together with just this no need for rivets as I was using Composite Aluminum Panels..

Good stuff for the price
Works good and very strong holding up the plastic bond for tight waterproofing seal. It’s a bit sticky at first but once it cures up in 24 hours it’s rock solid with no water leaks.

And I might be wrong but it seems the silicone pads on the goggles and rubber wetsuit material would bond (that is to say "melt"
Unfortunately, I had to rate this with something.. and there are no negative numbers. I was dumfounded that this product demonstrated 100% failure to do anything it is advertised to do..even for the simplest of use. It failed as an adhesive... and where it would NOT bond it failed to seal. I swim 2.5 - 3 miles everyday and am in the water for anywhere from 80 to 110 minutes non-stop. I customize the swimming goggles I use because I can't find goggles that won't put ring marks on my boney eye sockets and over that kind of time they begin to really hurt. I glue custom cut pieces of an old wet suit to the soft material around the goggle lenses. I read many reviews of this product and bought it because I thought I had found a winner and I'd finally found something that would last... but that was not the case. Within one week the bond failed completely. Now maybe the glue isn't made to withstand chlorine, I don't know.. it wasn't indicated and if it is a marine sealant who's to say someone wouldn't be using it around a pool? It only makes sense it could be. And I might be wrong but it seems the silicone pads on the goggles and rubber wetsuit material would bond (that is to say "melt" together) but what I got was a nice clean surface on both the pieces when they came apart. I put the glue on both surfaces and waited over an hour for it to get sticky (otherwise it was like water), so maybe it doesn't bond to itself. Seems every glue I've ever used recommends doing this. I weighted the bond down overnight and because of the "dry" time, did not get them wet for over a week. I can't imagine using this useless stuff on a boat, or any type of motor, or condition where vibration would be constant. And the kind of set up time required the boat would likely sink if I'm trying to seal water out. I'm glad other people got some satisfaction from it, I sure didn't for that piddly little use...and I'd be willing to bet down the road they will all be doing it again. It took well over a week for the glue to become non-sticky. All in all.. I would not recommend anyone buying this stuff for anything unless you just like the smell of it. Sorry 3m but... best go back to the drawing board.. or put some information together about how, where, what.. maybe "your" definition of marine...directions for application and something on the literature other than the fear based stuff about getting it in the eyes or swallowing it. I normally would not say anything and just throw the stuff away but it was such utter failure...maybe I can save someone the trouble and time I went through.

Fixed cracked shower pan!
Folks there is a other version that allows for curing in 24 hours, this takes 4-7 days to cure and is quite pliable after initial set. I used on a cracked all-in-one shower pan. I was skeptical for the first 24-48 hours because of the slow cure. Be patient, when it cures it is stronger than steel and has some flex to it - perfect for standing in the shower and not worrying. It created a water tight that will probably last longer than the house itself. Again, if you need something to cure faster, seek out the similar name 3M. This is the real deal!!!
