Comfortable. Lightweight
Comfortable. Lightweight. Unexpectedly durable. This is my favorite portable chair. And it packs up flat and is easy to carry. This chair has travelled with me to six national parks, weekend soccer games, tailgating, the beach, and backyard bar-b-ques. I'm a tall guy (6'5") and normal lawn chairs are usually very uncomfortable for me. This chair is perfect. My kids love sitting in it too. It's strange looking, but inventive, simple, and clever.

Compact, sturdy and attactive
I bought a few of these 20 years ago at a sporting goods store because they store flat and are easy to pack for camping. The old ones were stapled together and have required some repairs with glue and screws over the years. The kids fight over them so I needed one more to keep the peace. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the new one. Byer has really improved the design and fixed most of the weak points from the old design. The legs are thicker material and the slats are now screwed on. Then new one is a little bigger and heavier, but not excessively. I shouldn't complain anyway, I have gotten bigger and heavier in the last 20 years too!

Very attractive but heavy & not too comfortable
I have always loved the design of these types of chair. I had some 15 or so years ago and used them until I wore them out. So I was very excited to find them again online. Here are the pros and cons…PROs:- Looks, they really are gorgeous- Sturdiness, they are solid and well-built- Compact, they are extremely slim & store wonderfullyCONs:- Heavy. They are quite heavy so not easy to carry any distance- Uncomfortable (somewhat). The seat part is too short, it could use an extra slat. Which makes it uncomfortable for sitting any length of time. The ones I owned 15+ years ago were much more comfortable to sit on. The seat part was longer.Depending on what you’re looking for, these might be perfect. But if you want something that’s light and comfortable for sitting on for long periods of time, I would not recommend these. If you’re looking for probably some of the prettiest chairs on the beach, and love the storage aspect of them, then this would be for you.

I LOVE these chairs so much I now have three
I LOVE these chairs so much I now have three. The first two are of a different, lighter-colored wood and were made in Maine. The chairs are now produced in Vietnam using kiln-dried Keruing wood which apparently is a hardwood that is more weather-resistant and resists fungi and mildew.Since I have back issues, I find this chair perfect as the chair seat doesn't sag like most camp chairs do. It is comfortable, easy to carry and doesn't take up much space when folded up--it's an ingenious design.I would suggest the company offer a seat cushion--which I believe they did in the past. (I use a folded-up fleece throw as a cushion.)

Attractive and sturdy
Takes some practice to get in and out of (they are low) and for those with substantial bottoms may not be as easy or comfortable but generally very pleased with this product.

Low seating chair
The seating angle of the chair is uncomfortable. The steep V angle Puts pressure on lower back. When you push the seat all the way back, it’s slightly better, but that setting makes the sitting plant too narrow and it tends to topple while you’re sitting. The chair is of good quality, smooth finishing and looks really nice.

It's a lovely chair
Nicely crafted and pretty. It'd be great for sitting around a campfire or listening to music at an outdoor concert. Unfortunately, it's not going to ward for us because we really need something that will also work as a beach chair. This chair s too short in the seat and hits the back of our legs in the wrong place. Maybe if there was an ottoman to go with it? Or maybe the glider version would be better for our purpose?
