My new rain and really every day hat
I bought this as a rain cover but it has turned into my everyday pairing with my leather jacket hat. Looks great. Stays clean and cleans up nice and the flat matte look is a nice alternative to the other felt Goorin brothers hats I have in my collection. Because it’s a cotton/canvas material I can wear it everyday, everywhere. It’s not a dress hat, if your a haberdashery snob like me, but it is good for all other every day at wear. If I have a complaint, and it’s not a biggie, it’s the inner hat band. I solved it by getting s 2” elastic stretch cloth band and sewed it in and it fits firmly without leaving a hat band line in my forehead, yet holds up in a pretty good wind. I might consider finding a second color just to have it. Great buy for the money.

Fits great. I needed a large hat for a costume and I’m definitely going to use this in my regular wardrobe.

Good quality, maybe not the best if going for an understated look.
Overall, a nice hat. The biggest problem I had with it is a quirky one -- I don't like big, metal badges on my hatbands. The one in the picture has a very understated hatband, so, that's what I was hoping for, but, instead, I got a chunk of bling that's apparently glued on (not easily removed). The fit (large) was pretty good, even for my fat head. The only other issue is that this was my first pork-pie hat and, if you're over 6-feet tall, it will make you look a bit like a tall bottle with a too-tight lid. I'm not sending it back (will donate it -- it's still a good quality hat), but it wasn't a good fit for me.
