I have a cat with megacolon and she can get stopped up if she manages to eat any dry food. These bad boys helped her out IMMENSELY, but I recommend getting help from a second person as I wasn’t able to hold her down myself.

This worked within minutes. Our 2 year old struggles with constipation. She was acting very lethargic and not being her normal self. We noticed she wasn't eating, drinking or pooping. After reading the different sites on what to do. We bought these and took our chances at home instead of an expensive vet bill. Worth every cent. Like I stated, worked within minutes. She was back up.and running that day! We used coconut oil for lube so it didn't hurt her bum because the insert is hard plastic.

I recommend having a second person to hold the cat down while one person does the thing, I usually hold my cat down on a waist high surface (with a towel down in case of gel leakage) and my dad does the enema-ing, we’ve gotten it to down to a very quick process, about thirty seconds, which I think is less stressful for the cat. Also maybe some Vaseline or mineral oil on the end of the injector, it’s bigger than I thought it would be, considering the small size of the target. A well lit area also helps, and be careful not to hurt their tails by yanking them too hard to get it out of the way. Anyway, it works very well, my constipated cat does NOT like getting the enema, but he will usually poop within thirty minutes or so. If not I wait about six hours and try again. Just be on the lookout, because he’ll poop wherever he happens to be, and sometimes the gel will leak out while he tries to go.

This product was not in the manufacturers packaging. There was no instruction sheet nor was there any kind of sheet that said what the ingredients in the suppository were. When I opened the package, the 3 syringes were in a bag that said ready for shipping and it was taped closed. When I took them out of the “ready for shipping” bag, the syringes were not tamper proof. The ends were able to be pulled off. I would never use any kind of “medication” or suppository for myself let alone my pet that was not sealed in tamper proof packaging from the manufacturer. This made me very suspicious that this item was not the real thing. I was able to get a refund.

Had to use this on one of my older adult cats. It was fairly easy to manipulate. I used Vaseline to lubricate the tip. It was effective within 24 hours. Important to know some human enemas, even for babies and toddlers, are toxic to cats. If you want accurate information from an on line search, always preface your topic with "for professionals ". Otherwise you'll get a lot of crap from people who really don't know what they're talking about!

My cat likes eating plastic bags and so she gets constipated often. I mix Miralax in her wet food every day, but even still, she'll find plastic and get backed up. Last time, I had to take her to the vet 3 times and it cost over $1,000. The vet tech told me that there were these enemas I could get and administer myself in the future, so I ordered a few. Sure enough, my cat chowed down on a plastic bag and got constipated again... After a couple days of her straining to go, I gave her one of these and she was able to pass a bowel movement within hours. Saved me SO much time and money. Please put pet-safe lube on the end before inserting to ensure comfort and don't insert the enema too far. I am a medical student, so I felt comfortable doing this, but it's not worth perforating your cat's bowel if you don't know how to administer it properly.

Works super fast. My cat was on the brink of MegaColon. I spent thousands to help him but every time we had to go the emergency room, another $4k for an enema. I was done. I can tell when he gets a little irritable and needs a little help. Use a cat bag and administer. He is good to go within minutes.
