It offers up to 15 square meters of coverage per bottle, cures fully in 1 minute, and is waterproof yet washable for easy brush cleaning. Ideal for preserving fine details, this professional-grade fluid is trusted by artists worldwide. ## Description A pigmented liquid composed of rubber latex and pigment, for masking areas of work needing protection when colour is applied in broad washes. Review: A useful addition to an art kit. - I brought this Winsor & Newton masking fluid on offer for £5.59 - it arrived quickly and in good condition. This was my first time using masking fluid but it’s a great idea to be able to blank out sections of the art to keep it clear from paint or ink, so I have been wanting to try this for a while. I used it on a quick test scribble with some Winsor and Newton drawing inks and they all worked well. There is a bit of a learning curve to peeling up the fluid at the end, you have to be gentle and roll your fingertips or the paper can rip, but once I got the technique it was all good. Also it doesn’t take much fluid to provide a good cover so this small bottle should last a while. Though one thing to note is that it can shorten the life of your brushes so should only be used with old brushes or washed off them quickly after. I really enjoyed using this and I’ll look forward to experimenting more with it. A great addition to an art kit. Review: Great Product, Does the Job. - Great product. It flows well, and does exactly what it says it will do. I've never used masking fluid before and I was very pleased as the little bunting flags on the painting I've attached, needed to be masked, while I did the sky and the buildings. I barely used any of the 75ml, so I'm sure it'll last me the year. It does ruin the paintbrush though. It won't come out once it's in the bristles. So be prepared to keep one or two brushes just for this use. I was also pleased that the latex came off really easily days after it was applied - I'm a slow painter. ## Features - A lightly tinted liquid, used to temporarily mask and preserve the paper when applying colour, as it prevents the paint adhering to the paper - Especially useful when trying to create fine details - Do not apply on damp or soft sized paper, Remove as soon as possible after application - Brushes can be cleaned with water if washed immediately after use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B005R1S6SA | | Age Range Description | Adult, Teen | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,381 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 67 in Painting (Home & Kitchen) | | Brand | Winsor & Newton | | Brand Name | Winsor & Newton | | Colour | Transparent | | Colour Code | #FFFFFF | | Container Type | Bottle | | Country of Origin | France | | Coverage | Approximately 10-15 square meters per 75ml (for a single, thin coat) | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 3,223 Reviews | | Dry Time In Hours | 24 | | Finish Type | Gloss | | Finish type | Gloss | | Full Cure Time | 1 Minutes | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00884955017371 | | Included Components | 1 x WN Art Masking Fluid - 75 ml, XCFAMF75 | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Type Name | Art Masking Fluid | | Item Volume | 75 Millilitres | | Item Weight | 0.08 Kilograms | | Item volume | 75 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | Winsor & Newton | | Model Name | 3021759 | | Model Number | 3021759 | | Paint Type | Watercolour | | Part Number | XCFAMF75 | | Size | 75 ml (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | Washable | | Special feature | Washable | | Specific Uses For Product | Cardboard | | Surface Recommendation | Paper | | UPC | 884955017371 | | Unit Count | 75.0 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Winsor & Newton - **Colour:** Transparent - **Finish type:** Gloss - **Item volume:** 75 Millilitres - **Paint type:** Watercolour - **Size:** 75 ml (Pack of 1) - **Special feature:** Washable - **Specific uses for product:** Cardboard - **Surface recommendation:** Paper - **Unit count:** 75.0 millilitre ## Images ![Art Masking Fluid, 75ml - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51sTe2UfamL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A useful addition to an art kit. *by M***T on 11 October 2026* I brought this Winsor & Newton masking fluid on offer for £5.59 - it arrived quickly and in good condition. Probably could have used thicker and stronger paper but this was ok. Much better than the masking pen I used. Also hasn’t got much odour which is great. ## Frequently Bought Together - Winsor & Newton, Art Masking Fluid, 75ml - Masking Fluid Pen, Ruling Pen Adjustable Cross Hinge Fine Traight Line Art Ruler Pen Art Drawing Fixed Hinged Line Guide Masking Liquid Pen for Masking Fluid Fine Lines Drawing Tool --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://capeverde.desertcart.com/products/48039241-art-masking-fluid-75ml](https://capeverde.desertcart.com/products/48039241-art-masking-fluid-75ml) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cape Verde* *Store origin: CV* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
