This is a great product, once you get the hang of setting it up properly. It took us about 3 attempts to finally set it up without causing water to spew out of it. As others have said, you have to be careful to not overfill it. We now use a measuring jug to put in approx. 750ml of cold water before then attaching the carbon dioxide cartridge. Also as others have said, you then need to leave the siphon alone for at least 10 minutes; we've had no problem with putting it in the fridge right after attaching the carbon dioxide cartridge and with the cartridge still attached. We normally just replace the cartridge attachment with the smaller plug the next time we go to the kitchen and haven't had any problems. And we don't bother cleaning the siphon or other equipment before refilling it every time. We use the siphon to make fizzy drinks, adding the cold soda water to various cordials, and to make wine spritzers. The soda comes out very cold and very fizzy every time. It's much better than bottles of fizzy water, and hopefully better for the environment (which was the main reason we bought the siphon).

I bought this as I had a large number of gas cylinders from a previous application. Otherwise the economics versus budget carbonated water don't stack up. The soda maker was easy to use and of nice appearance. I used chilled water from the fridge as recommended, gave it a good shake after injecting the gas and the carbonation level was fine. The first time I used it I put the cylinder in the silver holder and all went well. The second time ( after I had read the instructions properly ) I used the black holder. Unfortunately this time the gas cylinder became jammed in the holder after injection and I spent five minute with a pair of pliers trying to remove it. I shall be using only the silver holder in future. This may be because the cylinders I have are slightly non-standard. Who knows? Apart from this its a perfectly adequate and nice looking bit of kit.

For the first month the soda siphon worked perfectly producing fizzy soda water. After about 6 weeks we noticed the soda water was less fizzy and now after 3 months there is no fizz whatsoever.

My doctor says "I want you to drink a lot" - although I like alcoholic drinks I feel that he really means water. I find water totally uninteresting. But cool it and put some fizz in it is a completely different story - I love fizzy water!!! So this old fashioned type soda syphon does the job perfectly. The secret is in using cold water - shaking to mix the gases and leave the whole thing in the fridge. The result is perfect fizzy water just as good as anything you buy in a shop at enormous cost. The unit is well made - good quality and works well.

Nicely made but odd to use, instructions say fill to four fifths but impossible to judge the level due to the construction, so some method of measuring needs to be worked out by the user to get this level right. Capacity is modest which makes it expensive (for gas cartridges) compared to plastic bottles which it was my aim to replace for environmental and convenience reasons.

Fantastic service from this supplier. I initially thought I had not got my booklet when it was delivered. I did not realise it was an e-booklet that gets emailed to you after delivery! I was too eager and sent off a message and with in about an hour I had a response apologising with a copy of the booklet attached which was then shortly followed up by the email I would have received. Great quality product and also looks great too. You just have to make sure you do not overfill it and also tighten up the top when getting ready to put the gas in. I was worried about being a bit heavy handed on my first go, so the Gas sort of came out!

This is an excellent siphon. The first one we received was defective and on charging it, the CO2 escaped in pretty violent fashion, but the company were very quick to send a replacement and this is in daily use in our house. We have soda water to add to squash or to use on its own and I am now no longer buying lots of plastic bottles,so helping with our recycling efforts!! The Soda siphon is so easy to use, it charges really quickly with a CO2 bulb and if you don’t drink it too quickly, will last for about two weeks,but we enjoy the soda water so much, it doesn’t last that long, but neither did the plastic bottles we used to buy! I would definitely recommend this product!

I posted a pretty damning review of this product a couple of weeks ago. Inovee were great and provided a refund and a replacement. But, more importantly, I’ve now worked out how to use it so that I get brilliantly cold and really fizzy water. 1. Rinse after use; 2. Fill it to about 4/5ths (don’t be tempted to over fill it); 3. Gently screw in the charger;4. Walk away for 10 minutes - make some cheese and crackers to go with your apple juice and soda. 5. Gently unscrew the charger and put it in the fridge for about 20 -30 mins. The water is much fizzier. I think science must be working its magic and the water and co2 must expand in the fridge. It really is worth the wait and makes a real difference to the fizz. If it does blast out water during charging it’s because, like me, you over filled it. So. Inovee, I take it all back. The product is great and your customer service was execellent. Thank you!

Der Soda-Siphon ist genaus so, wie er sein muss. Für mich lässt er Erinnerungen an vergangene Zeiten aufleben, als wir uns als Kinder den Himbeersirup aufgesprudelt haben. Passt trotzdem immer noch sehr gut in die heutige Zeit und macht z.B. eine gute Figur in der Hausbar. Ist vom Design her halt ein zeitloser Klassiker und von der Funktion unübertroffen. Bin vielleicht altmodisch aber mir ist so ein Ding sehr viel lieber, als diese Geräte, mit denen man Wasser in Plastikflaschen aufsprudelt. Das Produkt selbst wirkt vertrauenerweckend solide und hochwertig. Alle Gewinde und Dichtungen sitzen satt und zu 100% passend, der Hebel liegt gut in der Hand, erzeugt angenehmen Gegendruck und lässt sich schön dosiert betätigen. Positiv ist noch zu erwähnen, dass von der Verkäuferfirma noch ein kostenloses E-Book über Grundlagen des Barwesens per E-Mail dazugelegt wurde. Es werden dazu auch noch einige Ersatz-Dichtungsringe mitgeliefert. Von mir klare Kaufempfehlung.

Funzionalità e bellezza sono due caratteristiche sulle quali ha smentito i miei timori. Soprattutto le parti in plastica sono particolarmente robuste e non danneggiano l'estetica di un oggetto che deve comunque offrire una certa eleganza. Unica raccomandazione per neofiti, e da uno di loro: le istruzioni suggeriscono di agitare dopo l'immissione del gas, ma non esagerate! Primo, non ce n'è bisogno, secondo la valvola potrebbe non tenere e il sifone colare. Magari rinfrescate capovolgendolo, se lo usate dopo che è stato molto a riposo. Buone bevute (senza esagerare)!

Bonjour. Pour ce siphon de 1 litre ( liquide ) quelle est la quantité d'eau que l'on peut remplir dans ce siphon, pour ne pas risquer de vider instantanément la cartouche de gaz CO2? Si on remplit complètement ce siphon ( 1 litre d'eau ) dès que l'on va visser la nouvelle cartouche, celle-ci va se vider instantanément à l'extérieur du siphon On peut le comprendre puisqu'il n'y aurait plus de place pour que le gaz CO2 pénètre à l'intérieur de ce siphon Mais, quel serait le juste milieu pour éviter cela ?? Marius Ps: je ne vous ai pas demandé la contenance de ce siphon qui est de 1 litre, mais quelle quantité d'eau il faut mettre pour que la cartouche ne se vide pas à le'extérieur ??

Il risultato e deludente e le cartucce non fanno una bottiglia !!! Con Sodastream il risultato è eccelente e migliore !! Mi dispiace di aver speso quei soldi !!
