Albatros Royal Wooden Chess Game Field Size: 36 x 36 mm

At junior chess tournaments, everyone keeps asking us where we got this item, as the King and Queen look great. Very reasonably priced product, and doesn't take over all the table when at tournaments, where 'table space' is often difficult to find. Also, unlike Tournament Size chess sets, where the board is invariably plastic, (rolled out), this board is stable, so friends/other competitors can borrow it, without having to 're-set' the board. The smaller size makes for easy transportation in our 'chess bag' (large shopping bag) and I just enclose the set in a soft cloth bag, and don't bother with the cardboard packaging. A really ideal, functional product; delighted.

Took me so long to find something that wasn't of a cheap design or 'travel sized' as many had made this same mistake and this is one of the best looking and best quality chess boards I've had, certainly for this price. Some of the pieces are slightly imperfect but this just adds to the charm of being a handmade item. The felt on the bottom of the pieces and inside makes it just that bit more luxurious. Love it!

Fantastic chess board. Absolutely love it. The pieces are all perfectly imperfect (sign of true handmade work), the board is well crafted and the overall quality is pretty good. Very pleased and would recommend.

I was looking for a reasonably priced Chess Set for my grandson who is seven. After looking on various sites and after reading the reviews on Amazon about this item I decided to buy it. I must say that I was very pleased with the quality. The quality of the item has to be pretty robust for a young boy and this set fits the bill perfectly. Very pleased with my purchase, I would certainly recommend.

I chose this set for several reasons. 1. It was one of the cheaper sets, my son is only 14. I noticed it had a really attractive old fashioned wooden pieces 3. It has a lovely carrying case design to keep the pieces safe. 4. I liked the look of it. My son who is 14 and playing chess for his school takes it everywhere, it is a really decent fun good-looking set and I recommend it highly. Don't hesitate.

Lovely set especially for the price. Solid wood board and carved pieces, husband was thrilled with gift.

The wooden pieces are beautifully made and my grandson is very proud of his set. He also really enjoys being able to put each piece away in its own shaped place - so he knows none are missing.

Me encanto, leí muchas notas en donde decían temas referentes al peso de las piezas, pero en ningún momento menciona el proveedor que tienen algún peso adicional al de madera como plomo... La calidad de los detalles es muy buena para su precio.

Mejor ajedrez calidad/precio, muy recomendable un 10. Piezas acorde con el tablero a lo que respecta al tamaño. Ideal para regalar.

Great value for the price to get a handmade wooden chess set. There are some minor defects (misplaced/broken felt on one piece, wood scarring on a knight, badly burnt lettering) which only add to the hand-made charm, imo. Since this is not a perfectionist's set, my daughter and I can play without worrying too much about dents and scuffs. It looks really nice in person.

Quality is good, the after service and support is good well, wish you can be better and better
