HI, Sorry if this has been asked but, it is unclear to me if these are "strike anywhere" matches or if you must use the striker on the box?

Thanks for the question. These are not strike anywhere; you must use the striker panel on the box. UCO does manufacture some strike anywhere matches, but these are not them.

I realize the matches are waterproof but are the strikers waterproof?

The strikers are not water proof and need to be kept dry. You can also buy the Titan matches in water tight container. https://www.amazon.com/UCO-Stormproof-Waterproof-Replacement-Strikers/dp/B00Y4TYJTQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537978896&sr=8-1&keywords=titan+matches

Thank you for your question! Titan matches have the following measurements:Burn Time (up to): 25 secondsLength: 4.125" (10.5 cm)Weight: 3.3 oz. (94 g)

What are the matches length and diameter?

They are 4.25 inches long and about 0.25 inches wide (about a width of a pencil).
