A HINT , not much , of smokey flavor , & that's it.
I received my delivery today and used it for tonight's meal. It has a very faint smokey flavor and that's it. I was expecting a little heat... nothing. Disappointed! I would not purchase this again.

This is a delicious spice and adds wonderful flavor to my Ramen.

Powdered pepper.
Not as spicy as some spices but it is finely ground and not flaky like you would sprinkle on pizza. I will probably make it into a paste with other ingredients to use for kimchee.
