How good is the sole? Can they be worn too and from the gym without ripping apart sole?

They are designed to wear in the gym , being canvas and suede uppers and a flat rubber sole they aren't really suitable for wet weather etc

Can these be used for running as well as weight lifting

NO! these are not designed to run in, they are flat soled ideal for deadlifting and squats but have no cushioning for any sort of running / walking
