Wubbers Baby Quality Fine Round Nose Jeweller's Pliers

I have been making jewelry for approximately 12 years now and believe me when I say, I've tried my share of pliers! Most do an adequate job, but these round nose looping pliers are incredible! The padded handles are very comfortable and reduce the chance of hand strain. The amazing part is the padding doesn't slip or move around like SO many do! They are very easy to use and definitely not stiff. I was traveling and wanted to take my beads on the plane to work on since it was a long trip. I was worried TSA might confiscate my pliers, but I didn't want to lose my Baby Wubbers! So, I decided to take a well-known competitor's pliers that I used prior to finding these pliers. If they got confiscated - oh well! They didn't get taken, so while I was on the plane, I pulled everything out, laid it all out perfectly and got started on putting eye pins into my beads. By the second bead, I cut out the pins and put everything away! I didn't like the quality, the hardness of the handles and how rough everything was. I was so spoiled by my Baby Wubbers, I couldn't stand to use anything else!! These really are the best pliers you'll find, and without paying outrageous prices!

I have small hands so these are the perfect size for me to use as my regular looping pliers. I like the fine point as well. They are very comfortable to hold and the rubber sleeves are a bit textured which make for a secure grip. Definite quality. I will be gradually getting more Wubbers in different varieties.

Soft and comfortable to use and makes the smallest loops. Have learned cheap tools end up costing more in the long run. I do not think the price is bad at all and they are quality. Wubbers is a good brand.

I bought these the day after I received two other pairs of Wubbers pliers. Wonderful pliers! Very sturdy. It feels like you have more control over your wire with these. Good leverage. They really do decrease the marring on your wire. You feel like you don't have to grip hard to hold your wire. This pair is also great for creating names/words in wire. The hinge is good for crimping the wire loops flat. Would give them more starts if I could.

I purchased these as an upgrade from my previous pliers, and was interested in the claim that they do not mark up metal. This is true, and a big improvement for my jewelry making. I felt that these were too small for comfort though when making loops. That was my mistake, as I have small hands and have always used small pliers. However, these feel a bit too small. They are good quality, but although I could get used to using the 5" bent nose version I had also purchased, I am probably going to replace these with the regular size round nose.

These are well worth the price! It has some sort of matte coating so I mar my wire less, which is great because I'm a beginner. Please note that it is recommended for 18g or finer. I didn't realize this at first and have been using them on 16g wire...They did hold up just fine without damage so far, BUT I'd rather not risk it so I bought the Wubbers Classic round nose pliers for my heavier gauges. :) They are a bit pricey, but in the end these will last. I regret buying my cheaper pliers and wished I got these at first.

I contemplated purchasing several of these Wubbers, but decided only to purchase one before purchasing more. I'm glad I did... this is an ok product but way overpriced. You can get similar quality pliers much cheaper. They also have a design flaw... one of the jaws is not rounded on top of the barrel, making it difficult to use the entire length of the barrel, if at all. I would not purchase this product again, and I will not be purchasing any other Wubber pliers.

These tools are well made. They are relatively small, but have a good grip surface, good machining and appear to be of excellent quality. I recommend this brand for anyone (like me) who is looking for a good tool for reasonable money. There are cheaper ones, but to my experience they are harder to use and don't last.
