Caviar Stick Eye Shadow Matte, Au Natural, 0.05 oz

I really love the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick eyeshadow. The creamy formula glides on easily and blends beautifully without tugging on the delicate skin around my eyes. It gives me a polished look in just a few minutes, which I especially appreciate when I don’t want to spend a lot of time doing my makeup. The color is buildable, so I can apply a light layer for a more natural look or add more for a deeper, more defined eye. It also works well as an eyeshadow base or on its own. This is one of those makeup products that makes getting ready so much easier. It’s convenient, flattering, and easy to use, and I would definitely purchase another shade.

Fabulous eye shadow stick, & I’ve tried most high end brands. It goes on so smooth & even, I like using a brush to get it perfectly placed. Last week, I had it on for over 8 hours, & it stayed perfectly fresh. I have green eyes, & the color, Brick looks amazing. Highly recommend.

These do not come with any kind of hygiene seal. It would be very easy to buy it, test it out, and return it. For this price I was expecting it to be properly sealed. I would rather by something from the grocery store that is properly sealed.

Great smear eyeshadow and I love that it’s a cream that can be molded to the look you want. I really like mercier products and this one doesn’t disappoint. Long lasting, and long lasting from I don’t need another one anytime soon. Highly recommend trying - I have several colors and love this product

For my aging eyes, I'm all about the cream shadows and this glides on smooth without being goopy. It's really workable too so if you want a light layer it's easy to blend in...or go heavier for a more pigmented look. I'm not a makeup expert and this photo is just a quick "one-eye" demo of the Modern Rose over the whole lid with a touch of Rose Gold in the center near the tear ducks. You can see it's pretty subtle which I love. . The only reason I don't give these shadows 5 stars is because I wish the stick was more stable (perhaps thicker?) - they tend to break off and I have to drop it back into the case again.

This eye shadow pen goes on smooth and is a gorgeous color! Lasted all day but I do use a primer. Will purchase a few more now that I know they work good. Just have to be careful because the color feels out the first time so when you open it just watch that. Otherwise product is good quality.

I have purchased several Caviar Sticks over the past few years. I supplement with less expensive shadow sticks but I had preferred the glide and color deposit of Caviar Sticks to less expensive brands. I received Strike a Rose as a gift a few years ago and LOVED IT (it was as special edition color that was in a special packaging and I continued to hunt for it until it was no longer available). I was thrilled when I saw the shade available again and purchased it as well as Forbidden Rose around Thanksgiving with some birthday money. The first point of difference I noted upon opening is the packaging appears to be different than it has been with prior purchases. I’m not certain it is all of the Caviar Sticks or just these particular shades as I have not purchased a stick in a while. Upon closer inspection of Strike a Rose, I realized that the stick itself was not securely in the packaging. When I opened the cap the product fell out of the tube and landed in my bathroom sink. It was still in one piece so I placed it back in the dispenser (as I said earlier I LOVED this shade and didn’t want to return it and figured it was just a fluke). It wasn’t. I opened Forbidden Rose and the same thing happened, exactly the same way it had with the first dispenser. Another difference from prior purchases is that the tubes themselves seemed a little flimsy prior to the repackage. The cap was more difficult to remove from the dispenser and the twist mechanism seemed to be more loose than with previous purchases. I can’t be certain but like everything else there seems to be slightly less product in each dispenser. I also noted that the boxes the dispensers arrived in, while shinier than prior purchases, were open on both dispensers when they were delivered. And the product seemed a little less creamy than before, which may explain why in both dispensers the product either broke away from itself or the dispenser itself (Strike a Rose was released from itself and part of the product had melted into the cap and Forbidden Rose fell out completely from the dispenser). Because I had hunted for these shades I am making do with what appear to be product changes, but at a price point of $33, to say I am disappointed is an understatement. When using each of the products, I no longer put the cap on securely. It’s on, but not snapped shut. I’m always afraid that on a hectic morning of hasty application I’ll have the same experience I had when I opened them for the first time but with less time to put the product back in the dispenser. I had not had the presence of mind to take photos, but they would have appeared almost identical to the ones I have seen that others have shared. I work in the beauty industry and have experienced many product repackages and reformulations. Some are for the better while others fall flat. And for the reasons I have previously stated with my own experiences of the product, I hope these issues will be addressed sooner rather than later. In the meantime I may use this as an opportunity to see what other options are available.

Easy to apply blends well and doesn’t drag the skin around the eyes. Long lasting, non sticky and a great colour for me. No irritation either so easy to wear. Will purchase again.

Smudges nicely when applying and then holds all day and I have very folded eyelids but it doesn’t sit in the creases!
