The item performed as expected however there was initial installation problems. I dont know if its due to a difference in construction. The new filters look like the old filters but i had to fiddle with the new filter a half a dozen times before it finally caught and the water started flowing normally. Overall seems to be doing its job.

IT DOES NOT WORK - NOT COMPATIBLE, AS ADVERTISED
Filter does not replace DA29-00012B as advertised. It leaks water, and eventually it gets pushed back. You have to see the mess we made trying to get one in.

Filter works on my older refrigerator.
It did fit my older refrigerator, but it took a bit to seat it. It's great to have icecubes back again.

Worst filters
First filter cracked the nib on install so created a leak in the fridge. Second had grey water come from it with a horribly taste. Had to return.
