I started using Hycosan Extra eye drops after having laser eye surgery when my eyes were feeling particularly dry and sore. They made a noticeable difference almost immediately. The drops feel very soothing and hydrating. The hyaluronic acid seems to provide longer-lasting moisture compared to some standard eye drops I’ve tried, which was exactly what I needed while my eyes were recovering from surgery. Another thing I like is the preservative-free formula and the bottle design, which makes it easy to apply a drop without wasting product although could be a little easier / smoother to press. A single drop in each eye usually provides relief for quite a while. If you suffer from dry eyes in general, or especially if you’ve recently had eye surgery, these are definitely worth trying. For me they were incredibly helpful during recovery and made my eyes feel much more comfortable.

Ordered these for my husband as he has dry eyes and they've been great at keeping them hydrated and soothed. He uses them daily and one bottle lasts over 6 months so they're good value for money. They work pretty instantly and the effect lasts for the whole day.

Recent blepharitis diagnosis so recommended this. Easy to use though have to hold down to heat eyes properly. Think it makes a difference. Think much better lasting heat than the microwavable masks.

There are very few products that have changed my life as much as this product. Over the lockdown period, I began suffering extreme eye pain. I put it down to old lenses and I thought it was eye strain. I could not get to see a doctor, nor an optician. I thought I would need new glasses, as I suffered from bloodshot eyes and muscle pain. Eventually, after about 8 weeks I was "allowed" a phone call with a medical practitioner (not a doctor) and she suggested I was suffering from dry eye. I was prescribed Evolve solution, Liquid Tears and some other saline type solution. They gave momentary ease but the pain soon came back. When the lockdown was over I went to the optician and they diagnosed extreme dry eye. I had also damaged the surface of the eye from the dryness. I went back to the doctor (on the phone) and they messed around with different saline solutions but nothing was really working. The original opticians had made a mistake with my new lenses and so I was forced to go to another optician for a second opinion on strengths. After the test, he showed me this product which he was selling at £14 a bottle. He told me that it was the best product on the market for dry eyes. My doctor refused to prescribe it, but they were happy to continue to issue me with 3 different, almost useless products. The liquid comes in a strange-looking container. Once you get the hang of how to dispense the liquid, it is so easy to use and it really controls the dosing. The first time I put the drops in, my eyes stung like crazy. They went red and offered no solution to the pain. The next day I decided to try again and I applied it four times that day and used 3 drops in each eye. By the night time, there was no pain. By the fourth day, my eyes were back to normal and felt lubricated. I can only presume this liquid coats the eyes in some sort of lubricant, as the effect is amazing. I still put it in my eyes 4 times a day, but there is no pain, I can focus without muscle pain and at night I do not need to apply a night gel. This has truly changed the condition I was suffering from. It has not resolved the cause of the dry eye, but the symptoms and pain have disappeared. It really is amazing. Highly Recommended.

These are really fantastic eye drops….i’d never use any other now. It’s a slightly thicker consistency than other brands, but this is what makes them so brilliant. They better mimick the natural moisture in your eyes. THe dispenser is really easy to use and way better than the bottles you have to squeeze them out. This bottle is much more controllable as you press the base and it dispenses one drop into the eye. Really soothing and calming on the eyes. More so than other cheaper brands I’ve used. Feels so lovely. And better still I can put them in my eyes whilst wearing contact lenses….which is ultra soothing to my eyes. I’m very new to wearing contact lenses and find these drops particularly useful to put in before putting in my contact lenses, and to put in my eyes when wearing contact lenses in the evening when my eyes start getting tired. I also put these drops in when I take my contacts out around 9pm at night. Such a lovely cooling feeling to the eyes. I do find my vision is a little blurred on occasions after putting these drops in, because of their thick consistency, but a few quick blinks to coat the eye and it disperses and the blurriness goes away. I absolutely love these drops. I keep a bottle at home and always take another bottle in my handbag as they’ve also been handy to rinse my eye if i get a bit of dust or grit in my eyes. Best eye drops I’ve ever had. Hands down straight winner and definitely worth the extra cost, and safe to use whilst wearing contacts. Brilliant!
