Safe for dishwasher and microwave?

No. Philomena is rimmed with real gold which will cause sparking and damage in the microwave. We recommend hand washing to preserve the gold rim.

How thin are these tea cups?

The tea cups are cute and lovely but two of mine were broken when they arrived and the bummer is, you can’t just return the two... you have to return all in hopes the next batch won’t be broken. It’s not an easy return:( otherwise cups are cute and wash well in dishwasher so far or with soap and water 👍🏼

Dessert plates to match?

Yes. Amazon has the matching dessert plates. Using Search, enter: Lynns Millicent dessert plates They are $4.59 each w/free shipping. I really like the cups and saucers. They are good quality, for such a low price. I did not purchase any dessert plates.

Is it dishwasher safe and microwave safe?

I tend to wash these by hand, although my daughter has placed them on the top shelf a couple of times in the dishwasher. I have never microwaved them. I simply would not do that to a teacup. I hope this helps.
