Will this fit hydro pools model 8939 wide mouth skimmer

It fit mine. I have a Hydrotools wide mouth skimmer.

Will not fit a Hayward. Hayward you need to find the specific one, SP1082, SP1091, SP1094, SP1096 etc

Is the measurement 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" ?

It measures 4.5/8" X 5.5" or 6.25" to the posts
