Great crawler performance and quick response!
The ESC is great if you want to run the motor really slow in a crawler. It also responds to throttle much quicker than other ESCs I tested. It was the only one that gave good results when used in building my own servo.

Great little motor for TRX4m cheaper than traxxas brushless
Great little brushless motor plenty of power for a Trx4m super slow crawls and plenty zippy if your going for a walk, highly recommend. Software could be a little easier/simpler to work with but with some help of YouTube you can figure it out

Great value, big upgrade from stock brushed setup
Nice upgrade from stock. I think it runs better on 3s, but it does fine in 95% of the driving situations on 2s. It cogs a little in certain spots, but I have two other brushless setups and they are similar in that situation. I like to upgrade and this is an affordable way to get brushless going.

Injora Purple Viper and ESC
Injora Brushless Purple Viper Motor and ESC. It’s a solid budget motor. It’s pretty smooth. For TRX4M, it comes with the mounting adapter and battery adaptor for the proprietary connection. It comes with a programming USB. For programming, download the program files from the Injora website. Export (unzip) the files. Open the last file in the list (Serial Port Connection) Run the driver and check the box “Direct Connect” Now, plug the USBProgrammer into the ESC lead. Yellow wire to gray wire. Power on the ESC with a fresh charged battery. Next, plug the USB into the laptop. Select the CORRECT Com Port for the device. You’ll see a box named “M1” if you did this correctly. Click M1 Now, you’ll see sliders for adjusting parameters. If you adjust the motor kv, the start sine on the third tab may go blank. It’s the first box on the third tab. If it’s blank 922 is a good value to enter to get the vehicle moving. Try it and adjust up or down until you like how it moves. Generically, they’re set pretty well from the factory. However, it’s frustrating getting it to program, if you go in the wrong sequence. Be sure to click Save Settings. Once you finish saving, you will be able to exit the program and restart it to make additional adjustments. If you just plug right back in, it wouldn’t work for me.

Great upgrade
Works good I’m my Redcat Ascent 18. Easy install, the pinion didn’t have good mesh so I had to drill out the plastic trans housing to give some adjustments.

Jumpy acceleration
The jump in speed when transitioning out of sine mode makes this setup just about worthless for crawling. Even after spending WAY too much time reading online guides, advice from other users' experiences, and adjusting every possible parameter in the config tool, the lack of smooth acceleration throughout throttle range makes me regret this purchase. I can't imagine anybody being happy with it.

Very reliable!
This is a great cheap little brushless set up. This is as in an ascent 18 and it moves it slow and fast. Great buy!

Super easy!
Super easy set up and super compact. Honestly, never even tuned it. I would really recommend doing it, but I haven’t and it’s been performing great. I was able to place everything including the esc and receiver all in the stock location with room to spare. My wiring is a mess but it’s really simple. Plus the connectors allow me to use other batteries including the stock ones. Haven’t tried on 3S but there is definitely some cogging at low speed with my truck once it hits a little bit of resistance.. definitely take the weight seriously if your truck is even on the heavier side of what they recommend, I would still recommend going up one level to the fat viper. My truck is on the heavier side, and I feel like it suffers. I thought I would have been safe because most of it is unsprung weight, but it didn’t matter. For what it is it really does awesome though!
