I purchased this to replace a 31 year old set that had worn out. On the old set you could accidentally lock yourself out. On this one as soon as you turn the knob, when going out, the knob unlocks. No chance of being accidentally locked out. It was very easy to replace the deadbolt and locking door knob. Maybe 10 minutes. I am very happy with this purchase!

Awesome deadbolt and doorknob! I wanted one that a bad guy couldn't easily kick in and did my research. These have a strike plate and VERY long screws. I feel much more secure with this Schlage lock set. I forgot to buy 2 however so the door to my garage would have the same key so you might want to buy 2! Now I have 2 different keys. Love this very high quality set!

Quality locks installed to replace my old Kwikset. Better security. One reason for 4 stars is when you close the door, even if the non deadbolt (lower lock) is unlocked, it will lock behind you! This happened to me when I went to my mailbox, came back, it was locked! Good thing I had the key with me to get in my house!!!

I returned an expensive Quickset combo door set from Home Depot that just didn't fit right, it was poor quality overall but almost as expensive as this one. My Dad got this instead. Easy to install ( literally idiot proof) and has some heft to it and fits correctly, highly recommend Schlage products.

Closes and opens smooth with 2 Schalage keys, all the parts and pieces, not one part missing. My old brass colored set was getting old and too many times of condensation building up over time making it sticky to open with the key to the knob. My exterior door is out there with the elements, but with the sun snow rain, my house has an eave so the condensation issue on the internal parts of the doorknob's not happening directly. With this one I used (4) 4" yellow zinc decking screws (instead of the ¾" provided striking plate screws) to go into the knob and deadbolt's strike plates that go into the door jamb (to make it less likely to kick in) and if they manage, it'll take the whole door jamb down too (lol) at least one side of the door jamb. Pretty straight forward though, simple and a quick 15-minute switch. For $48 and some change, it's not a bad deal. Feels solid, and the deadbolt makes that famous sound like a click-thud into the closed/locked position. So that being said, it doesn't feel lightweight or chintzy. The thumb latch flips back and forth like butter, same with the knob's latch plate lever. My door is sort of out of alignment (just needs shimmed a bit). Can't recommend these in the satin nickel. I bought 3 sets unfortunately to rekey my new house. The plastic coating in the outside scratches extremely easily and already looks terrible even right after installation. I have already gone through the work of re-keying them so returning is not practical unfortunately. I would fail them for durability and looks.

I've always liked Schlage for security hardware and these sets don't disappoint. They fit easily in our existing door holes, sturdy and smooth mechanisms. We like the appearance. We had them installed with a front door handle and deadbolt and are very pleased. Amazon offered one of the best prices compared to big box stores and we received it quickly

Deadbolt works fine. Handle lock does not. Appears to be crooked or misaligned. Could not get key into it, nevermind turn to lock or unlock. Requested refund.
