I think it’s a great product fits well some say it’s thin and cheap but you don’t want something heavy on top of your chimney pipe well made would definitely buy again

This was purchased for a customer who was having trouble locating one this size. Upon receipt it was indeed the correct size as stated and since it's stainless steel the durability should be fine. The value was good compared to the big box stores so the customer was happy.

This is for Dura Vent triple wall pipe, NOT single or double wall. So, it makes it a perfect replacement for a metalbestos/Selkirk UT 8" pipe with a little sheet metal work. Just take the old cap off the 8" pipe, remove its base collar, then trim the hole on this cap to have a 8" opening and mount the cap on the 8" collar & base you saved and install with sheet metal screws. The cap is actually 1" bigger than the one on my 8" stack now, so theres not one ounce of flow loss and the Dura Vent is a higher grade of Stainless steel which will last longer. You also can adapt this to fit many options if your handy with sheet metal. Very good for the price! Just imagine, but build safe.

Last one lasted almost 20 years so I bought the same one. Not exactly cheap, a bit flimsy, but I guess they gotta be lightweight. Take the screen out first or else it will get plugged up within the first year if you got a regular old school wood stove

My original chimney top was at least 25 years old. This one is the identical replacement and fits perfectly! For triple wall pipe. Center 8”. Lower shoulder allows the outer walls of the pipe to vent. Important.

I got this to replace my old rusted out galvanized chimney cap, and it is exactly the same except the quality is much better. With the stainless steel construction, I expect this will last at least 30+ years here in Florida with salt air and light duty compared to northern climates.

I don't understand why these guys make stuff just BARELY acceptable in the duty department. Sure, it's made of stainless steel, but the design is lacking SEVERELY and the cheapness is on it. I am talking THIN metal here. You can bend this thing with your mind if you try. And the top is flat, not angled like they used to be. Why is the top flat instead of angled? Cuz it takes about three cents LESS material to make, and it's also easier to bend! The screen is better, though, than the older ones, I got to give them that. You know the screen, that thing that gets all clogged-up and makes it where no air can get through? Yeah, that screen.

Bought this summer. Wish it had something different for the metal mesh. We had cleaned our wood-stove and dry seasoned wood. The mesh got clogged with creosote and then the house got smoke in it. Dont buy this. Need to redesign this product. The wood stove can’t vent properly
